The War for the Atlas and the Abyss Challenge Leagues start in less than two days! As usual, we’ve gathered the necessary item filter and skill tree data to get you prepared. If you’re new to the game and not sure what to do with this information, don’t worry too much! We’ll update Path of Exile’s built-in item filter in the game and the Passive Skill Tree on the website alongside the launch of The War for the Atlas.
What are your plans for league starters now that we know what the patch includes?
I will focus on SSFSC (no hc since i don′t wanna relevel all the time i brainfart with a rather low playtime).
I am looking forward for several things:
If you want to snowball early in currency, you could roll sunder which is still the #1 fastest way to level in the game, and use that Path of Exile currency to fund something else in the future.
The slower character progression, Items will be more valueable, picking up items is more useful. In tradeleagues some “1 alch unique” is unexciting, but many are quite powerful/build enabling and more exciting to get in ssf.
I like theorycrafting with things i find and puzzle it together. If i get bored with one char i just check the stash and do the best with the stuff i′ve found at that stage. This can result in different and interesting routes of some builds that you wouldn′t think about if anything is aviable from scratch.
Gives a feeling of pride and accomplishment over just buying everything.
I don′t give a shit about partyplay. Some don′t like that they cannot have easily the BiS items asap or need to follow a guide with “strict” itemization (because they don′t know better). I like to brainstorm with 8 stashtabs of different uniques/jewels/rares/shaped+elder items and have those “woah” effects that make me excited to try the next thing with that stuff. Its a change of pace for me, not saying i will always stick to ssfbtw since a trading league can be fun as well.
SO… now that we have the patch notes, what are your thoughts for league starters?
